Phoenix Professional Contracting Inc. (PPCI) successfully completed a transformative renovation project at the Water Works Park Facility, working in partnership with the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA). This historic restoration project involved the repurposing of a 3,000 square-foot barn building, originally constructed in 1909, into a modern and functional office space for GLWA employees. The project aimed to preserve the historical charm of the structure while upgrading it to meet contemporary office needs. PPCI's scope of work encompassed a wide range of tasks to bring the Water Works Park Facility up to modern standards. This included new framing of walls to create functional office spaces and ensure structural integrity. PPCI installed all-new Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to ensure the building's efficiency and safety. A new acoustical drop ceiling system was implemented to improve sound insulation, and the building received a fresh coat of paint. New bathroom facilities were constructed to meet current accessibility and comfort standards, and the flooring was replaced with modern materials. Additionally, a new meeting room was added to enhance the functionality of the office space, providing a dedicated area for collaborative work. Outdoor stairs were installed to provide access to the building's second floor, improving mobility and convenience for employees.
